Tired of eating mayflies on those long runs across St. Clair in the Spring? Did you draw another crazy boater with a single console? There is good news if you want a great product to protect your mug from all the bugs and rain drops or if you just want to look cool on the ride. For a short time, I have some great coupons redeemable at any Save Phace retailer for a free mask bag, free hat, free lens, or free headwarmer. These are available only from Field Staff, and I only have a few. The coupons are good until December 31st this year so you better not wait. If you are interested, email me at kendallulsh@kdawg.net and I will send you a coupon via email or USPS. Or if you want, just come find me. But don't wait too long, the deal will be over soon.

Great news from Okuma High Performance Tackle. The development team has a great new rod line ready to hit the shelves around the beginning of the year, and if you want an advanced concept rod with all the high tech features out there, get ready for the new Okuma C3 rods. I was introduced to the rods a few months ago. Though they were not production models, the prototypes were unbelievable. I've had a fantastic year fishing with the Guide Select and EVX series rods, but am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new C3's. Carbon Cone Concept, with through blank reels seats. The new handles are lightweight and tacky to give you the right amount of grip. They also flaunt super fast actions and the best part; they are lighter than air. I'm not exaggerating, these rods are incredibly light. Expect the same lifetime warranty offered on the EVX and Guide Select rods, and be amazed by the prices. Expected retail is to be around $150. Get ahold of one when they hit the shelves, if I haven't put them all in my boat. There is a complete article on Okuma's C3 rods at the Tackle Tour website.

I am thrilled to announce CVA as a 2009 Pro Staff Partner. CVA, Connecticut Valley Arms, has long been known as the
leader in muzzle loading technology and quality. Not surprisingly, this fall will be no different. On top of the list of
innovation and high performance is the Electra, a fully sealed electronic ignition black powder rifle. Truly amazing, no
need for primers, just powder and sabot. Pull the trigger to experience unfailing spark in any conditions. Also, look for
the Optima Elite, a break action stopper with interchangeable barrels offering countless caliber opportunities in both
black powder and center fire. But if you want out of the box accuracy and surgical precision, get hold of the Accura.
Just some of the features include a thumb hole stock, fiber optic sights, and the renowned Bergara fluted barrel. As I
said earlier, I am excited to introduce you to all of CVA's products, or share the success you've experienced with yours.
Look forward to seeing all the new models at D&R Sports Center this year, and find me if you have any questions.

With the onset of the cold weather here in MIchigan, it's time to don the extras and face the chill. The good news is that with
the help of Under Armour, you can stay warmer than you ever thought, and never know you were wearing the stuff. That's
right, there is something better for being toasty. Under Armour has designed 3 new Base Layers to go with their already well
known Cold Gear. Form fitting, yet extremely comfortable, Cold Gear protects you from winter with technology that is out of
this world. I have spent hundreds on thermals over the years, and never managed to stay warm. But my Cold Gear fights off
the chills. You truly have to experience it to see the difference. And if staying warm isn't enough, maybe you just want to look
good. They have a new line of Hunting and Fishing outerwear and gear designed to keep you comfortable in the Arctic or the
Sahara, and have you looking like a Pro Jock every time out. Even better, they are offering free shipping on orders of $99 or
more for a short time. Shipping is usually only a few days, so you can still have it in time for some late season deer hunting, or
ice fishing. Email me if you have any specific questions about the products.

In case you haven't noticed, I've been updating the site regularly as new sponsors come on board. I would like to thank everyone
involved in helping me out this year, and also to all those who have pledged their support for the coming year. In addition, thanks for
supporting them when you need gear or other supplies.
This brings me to my next announcement. Mike Elkins a.k.a. Big Cobra and I have finalized our tournament plans for 2009. Mike and I
will team up again to fish the BASS Northern Opens. I will be competing as a co-angler, and Mike as a boater. My other decision this
year was a bit more difficult. Currently, I plan to fish the FLW Outdoors BFL Series as a co-angler again in '09. My heart is urging me to
compete as a boater, but the BASS Open schedule would not allow me a great deal of time for practice, and my other responsibilities,
namely work. I'm excited about getting started this Spring, and hope that all of you have as much to look forward to in 2009.
